The Shires are one of the most successful country bands of all time and the British duo regularly break chart records with their albums selling thousands of copies in the UK alone. Last year they also became the biggest selling country act in Britain and in 2015 they became the first Brit country act to score a top-ten on The Official UK Album Chart with their debut LP ‘Brave‘.
And last year they completed a sold-out tour of the UK in support of their best selling sophomore album ‘My Universe‘, and now the duo consisting of best friends Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes are hard at work recording their upcoming third LP which is due for release next year.
Yesterday, (November 18th) Crissie confirmed that she and Ben have headed off to Music City, Nashville to start recording their new LP. The news comes after The Shires spent several weeks in the country music capital of the world earlier this year to start writing tracks for their new record.
Writing on Instagram, Rhodes captioned a snap of her and Earle with the message; “Me & my bestest buddy @benearlemusic are back to Nashville again tomorrow to start recording the new album!! We’re sooo blooming excited! Jus gotta pack my suitcase…” sic
Along with the release of their new album scheduled for early 2018, The Shires are also set to tour the UK once again in support of their new music with a string of tour dates set to be announced around the time of the LP release next year.
